Bridal Updo's

Early Friday morning, I finished my last bridal-do of the season. From consultations to pre-wedding trial runs to the actual wedding day hoopla, I have been a busy hairdresser. I am exhausted (to say the least). Fortunately, formal hair is one of my favorite aspects of hair design (that and color) because it provides so much room for creativity.

To tell the truth, this was my first set of wedding updo's. Ever. I have designed tons and tons of hair for proms, homecomings, and other formal events (even bridesmaids). And in fact, the concepts of design are virtually the same. However, brides and a prom-goers are completely different. The stereotypical hard-to-please, picky bridezilla has always intimidated me. But I was wrong; it wasn't scary/bad at all. Either my brides were easy-going (it helped that I was friends with each girl and already knew they were lovely, non-bridzillas) or I did a good job! Maybe both? Nevertheless, each bride really loved her hair. Plus, I learned a lot of do's and dont's for my next round of wedding hair as well as certain things to expect (maybe I'll blog about that later).

I haven't received all of my photos yet, but here is a little taste:

  • Juliana:

  • Heather: **These pictures are from a friend; you can kind of see Heather's hair**

When I get more pictures, I will be sure to post them--though it may be sometime.

Well dear, I can PROMISE you that Bride #1 just LOVED her hair! :) Probably because you did an absolute perfect job (and she was too giddy to be uptight anyway). Lets play soon! I miss you!
