...

(This is a retraction of yesterday's post. I realized my tone was all wrong for the message I was trying to convey so I changed it slightly. Although the new version is far less witty, it is more to the point. Also, less potentially offensive to an old friend...)

At the beginning of the year, many of my blogging chums chose "year words", a single word to focus their year around. A motto. I wanted to jump on the bandwagon and blog my "year word", but I couldn't decide on just one . After all, there are so many words from which to choose! However, after mulling over the idea for a few of months now, one word kept coming back to mind:

***LOVE***

Of course love should be my year word, and I mean LOVE in the purest sense -CHARITY! Because of some heartbreaking events leading up to the new year, I began 2010 full of fear and anxiety.

I'm reminded of 2 Timothy 1:7--

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind" (bold format added).

So now, at the end of March, I want to herald in my year word, motto, battle cry (whatever you want to call it) to LOVE. Because I think by loving and serving other people, I'll forget about my own fears and anxieties, focusing the rest of 2010 around charity--overflowing, showering the people with love (thank you James T). Focusing on others and loving life and the beauty it holds. Finding a way to serve and love every single day of 2010. Surrounding myself and others with love and happiness.

Always remembering that fear does not come from God.

What a great motto! I think its perfect. And what a cute idea for a year word. I think mine should be Sanity. Thats what I am trying to obtain this year.
(by the way, do you have a copy of the original post?)
