OK...so I know the ranting versus raving over the Twilight books is so overdone. However, I just saw this hilarious chart and had to share. I fully admit I read all three Twilight books--errr are there four?--well, anyhow I read the entire series and liked them a lot. THE END! Although I found the books to be an enjoyable read, I might never read them again. Sorry to all you die-hard twilight fans, but I just can't read the books over & over. (I absolutely LOVE Harry Potter and only read the series once...)

Even though I really enjoyed The Twilight series, a few things about the books bother me. For example, Bella and Edward are in high school hence their very immature, high school-ish relationship (the books were written for young adults ya know). That's fine and pretty humorous, but I know girls my age (definitely NOT high school aged) who compare their dates and boyfriends to Edward--ridiculous! Once, I even saw a middle-aged woman driving a suburban displaying vanity plates with the word "TWILGHT." I'm pretty sure they referred to the books, because on her windshield was a Twilight series logo. Why do women my age and older obsess over Edward Cullen--the creep? Please tell me.

(I guess it isn't the books themselves that bother me but the general reactions to the books!)

Hmmm, suffice it to say, I nearly gag every time I see the twilight books consuming the front window display at Barnes & Noble. Let's not forget: there are other books in the world!

Now on to the chart. Courtesy of graphjam.com:

Ah lindsay, you have to appreciate the characters as highschoolers. That's why I like them. (I just finished rereading the books.) They completely remind me of kids that age. I also agree that Edward is decidedly creepy. He's controlling, bordering on abusive. Have you read the portion of "Midnight Sun" that Stephenie Meyer posted on her website? Its the beginning of Twilight from Edward's perspective. He is even more creepy! Its just a rough draft, but his creepy obsessiviness completely shines through. One thing that really bothers me about the Twilight series is that Bella always thinks Edward is so perfect. So, Midnight Sun is refreshing because you see how much Edward manipulates Bella.

Ha ha!That chart is great! I love twilight too, but I agree it has some flaws(I mainly have issues with the last one for some reason). Does your creepy Edward description mean your a Jacob fan?
