25 Things about Moi.

The past few weeks facebook friends have bombarded me with "25 Random Things About Me" notes. After being tagged, you write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. You then send it back to the person who tagged you and then tag 25 additional people. I dragged my feet about replying for awhile, but for lack of a better post-idea and because I need a journal entry for English class, I have finally created my own 25-list.

1. I am an Elementary Education major at BYU. After graduation, I hope to teach within grades 4-6.
2. I sing and play the piano. A few of my favorite composers include Mozart and Schubert (to sing) and Chopin (to play).
   
3. I love to read. My favorite genre is historical fiction. I am currently reading The Count of Monte Cristo and My Dearest Friend: Letters of Abigail and John Adams.
   
4. I do not like whipped cream, even if it is homemade.
   
5. I despise vanilla ice cream unless it is surrounded by root beer or coke. Also, don't even mention pie (or brownie) ala mode. Ice cream should NEVER touch the pie and make it all soggy!!
   
6. Astronomy fascinates me. I had the opportunity to spend the night in NASA during space camp--twice!!
   
7. I take more medicine than my grandfather. He's in his 80's.
   
8. I like mad-libs, logic puzzles, balderdash, monopoly, and any game that involves acting.
   
9. Once upon a time, I was a nerd and competed in chess tournaments. (I still like chess...shh!)
   
10. I love all animals and wish I could have a pet in my apartment. I have a shitzu/maltese named Schatzie at home. She's adorable but very old. I've had her since 4th Grade.
11. I have studied both Spanish and German, but am not fluent in either language. I would like to be.
12. I want to travel the world. Someday, someday...
13. I love getting to know people and learning their stories.
14. I love photography and hope to get better at it.
    
15. My nephews are the cutest in the world, and I love 'em.
    
16. I love to swim, water-skii, and go boating. I also like to camp and hike.
    
17. I really, really like architecture and interior design.
18. Late night re-runs of M*A*S*H--sublime? Yes.
    
19. I like black licorice but not red.
20. I have 25+ pairs of shoes.
    
21. My driver's license says I am 5'1", but I am slightly taller. Cross my heart!
    
22. My nicknames growing up included gigglehaha, funkispunk, and everyone in highschool simply called me "Mecham."
    
23. I have never broken a bone.
24. My Mom and I buy matching shoes sometimes.
    
25. I am a TEXAN, born and raised. Nuff Said!
