Ramblings of a Beginner Blogger

During my time spent at Brigham Young University thus far, I have become aware of certain social classes, mainly the wed and the unwed. Bishops and professors constantly bombard students with marriage propaganda and dating advice. Until you at least have a ring on your finger or a joint bank account (or even a joint tube of toothpaste) it seems you have not arrived. Evidence of this abounds as one walks down a hallway or spends a few minutes in the cafeteria, the Cougareat. Often one will hear phrases beginning with, "Now that I'm engaged I will," or "Now that I'm married I can," followed by some statement that proves interesting. Many are valid while others lead one to believe that even the simple ability of blowing your nose is a privilege reserved for the espoused. Among these seeming privileges lives the idea that only once you are engaged can you enter the realm of blogging. I have decided to enter this realm to prove that an unwed LDS, BYU student without children can still be a blogger.

Or maybe I just want to improve my writing skills. ;)
